Export development plans in Uzbekistan

On January 14^th of the current year, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed Resolution No. PP-4949 “On measures of realization of the export potential of Uzbekistan for 2021”.

In order to restore and further expand the export potential of the Republic in 2021, it is planned to:

• create permanent regional export headquarters with their location in the territorial divisions of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade;
• allocate 100 million USD from the Export Support Fund for exporting organizations for the purchase of raw materials and the production of export-oriented products.

From February 1, 2021, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade will provide pre-export financing for exporting organizations from the Export Support Fund.

From April 1, 2021, the Export Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade will compensate 50 percent of the expenses of domestic exporting organizations abroad related to the opening and maintenance of trading houses, rental of office, retail and warehouse premises, as well as the costs of organizing advertising campaigns. The procedure for such compensation will be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan within two months.
