Introduction of a number of amendments to the legislation of Uzbekistan
On December 3, 2020, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan (RUz) No.ZRU-653, which introduced a number of amendments to the legislation.
To the Criminal Code of RUz:
- Fines were increased for illegal logging which caused major damage, as well as if they were damaged intentionally or as a result of careless handling of fire;
In the Administrative Code of RUz:
- Fines were increased for relapsed illegal logging, uprooting, damage, destruction or replanting of trees, shrubs, other plants and young trees, as well as for failing to take measures for the safety of these plants in the territories assigned to legal entities;
- Fines have been increased for the disposal of solid household and construction waste, as well as the discharge of liquid household waste in unidentified places.
In the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 25, 2000 No. 69-II “On guarantees of freedom of business activity”:
- Individual entrepreneurs will be able to attract an unlimited number of apprentice.
In the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 15, 2010 No. ЗРУ-252 “On archival affairs”:
- When enterprises, institutions and organizations are liquidated, their archival documents can be transferred not only to the corresponding state archives (as it was before), but also to non-state archives;
- Buildings of state archives are not subject to alienation without providing the said archives with buildings that meet the requirements for organizing storage and use of archival documents.
