A Fund for the development of PPP projects will be established in Uzbekistan.
On 18.09.2023, Resolution No. RP-307 “On measures to establish a Fund for the development of Public-Private Partnership projects in Uzbekistan” came into force.
A Group to manage the Public-Private Partnership Project Development Fund under the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will be established in Uzbekistan. The Fund will be managed by the EBRD for 5 years, subject to a subsequent extension.
The foundation of the Fund is being formed on a grant basis in the amount of 10 million euros allocated to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Fund’s funds will also be used to finance the services of consultants on PPP projects worth over $ 10 million.
PPP projects worth over $ 10 million are placed on the international platform “SOURCE”.
The resolution also establishes a forecast schedule for the repayment of borrowed funds allocated by the EBRD.
