Customs duties for some types of cars were reduced

On June 16, 2023, the President signed Resolution PP No.193 on reducing customs duties on the import of cars.

The Resolution establishes that when importing passenger vehicles into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with CN FEA codes (Commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity) 8703 21 10, 8703 22 10, 8703 31 10, made no later than one year at the time of their crossing the customs border before 01.01.2026, the following rates of customs duties apply:

• A zero rate, for new passenger vehicles with an engine cylinder capacity of no more than 1,000 cc.;
• A five percent rate, for new passenger vehicles with an engine cylinder capacity of no more than 1,200 cc. 

Based on the current Resolution, the rates of import customs duties approved by the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 29.06.2018 for the items with CN FEA codes 8703 21 10, 8703 22 10, 8703 31 10 will change, and they will look like this:
