The Project Office “Center for Healthcare Projects” will be created

On 22.01.2024, the Resolution of the President «On additional measures to deepen reforms in the healthcare sector” No.PP-38 was adopted.According to the Resolution, a Project office “Center for Healthcare Projects” will be established in the structure of the Ministry of Health.

The Project Office is responsible for the implementation of new mechanisms in the following priority areas:

– full implementation of the state medical insurance system and a package of free medical services and medicines guaranteed by the state;

– improvement of the quality and safety control system of medical services;

– improving the efficiency and transparency of public procurement, reforming the pharmaceutical sector;

– updating sanitary standards and regulations based on modern requirements.

In 2024:

– a complete revision and alignment with international standards of the existing 40 sanitary rules, norms and hygiene standards will be carried out;

– modern management methods, high standards of safety and quality of medical care will be introduced into the activities of the republican specialized scientific and practical medical centers of surgery, cardiology, endocrinology, dermatovenerology and cosmetology, the National Children’s Medical Center and the National Medical Center, and their international accreditation will be carried out.
