The procedure of the lease of the agricultural land plots is established

On November 24, 2021, Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 709 “On Approval of Normative Legal Acts on the Procedure of the lease of Agricultural Land plots” (hereinafter referred to as the “Resolution“) was adopted. Ilkhom Azizov participated in the development of the Resolution as a part of the working group.

The Resolution was adopted pursuant to Articles 24 and 24² of the Land Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, para. 14 of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. UP-6243 of 08.06.2021 “On measures to ensure equality and transparency in land relations, reliable protection of land rights and their transformation into a market asset”, para. 4 of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-20 of 23.11.2021 “On measures to develop family entrepreneurship in fruit and vegetable growing and viticulture, to increase the share of dehkan farms in agricultural production”.

The Resolution has approved:

• Administrative regulation of the lease of the land plots for the management of the dehkan farms;
• Administrative regulation of the lease of the land plots to legal entities for agricultural purposes;
• Regulation on the procedure of the sublease of the agricultural land plots.

The lease of the land plots according to the above-mentioned administrative regulations is carried out through an open electronic tender.
