Lukoil Uzbekistan Operation Company (Production Sharing Agreement)

• In 2016-2017 we have advised Lukoil Uzbekistan Operation Company LLC on various issues relating to PSA on Kandym, Hayzak-Shady and Kungrad hydrocarbon deposits and other regulatory matters. In 2012 the firm was retained by the Company for the Project of Development of South-West Gissar Hydrocarbon Deposits (over 500 mln USD). The legal work included advising on various legal issues in the course of project finance alongside with other legal work, such as contracts, regulatory compliance. In 2004 the firm assisted Lukoil Uzbekistan Operation Company LLC on the Construction of Kandym gasprocessing plant and Development of Hayzak and Shady hydrocarbon deposits (1 bln USD).

Uzbekistan GTL (Plant for Gas-to-Liquid)

• From 2012 to 2016 the firm advised Uzbekistan GTL, a JV Company primarily between Sasol (SRA), Petronas (Malasia) and Uzneftegaz (Uzbekistan), with debt financing component dedicated for the construction of gas-to-liquids facility and gas processing plant with the value of 3,7 bln USD. The legal work included reviewing project documents, maintaining corporate matters, advising on regulatory compliance issues (including taxation, competition, importation of labor, environmental and medical, acquisition of gas wells and property registration).

Barrick International Ltd. (Barrick Gold Corporation)

• From 2004 to 2016 advising client’s local representative office on different maters, including mining issues and development of gold deposit.

Kossor Operating Company (subsidiary of PertoVietnam Exploration Production Corporation Ltd.)

• In 2013 advising client on regulatory matters related to Product Sharing Agreement in respect to Usturt Region.

Asia Trans Gas (Central Asia-China Gas-Pipeline)

From 2008 to 2013 Azizov & Partners advised Asia Trans Gas JV, an enterprise between Uzneftegaz (Uzbekistan) and CNPC (China), on the construction and operation of the First, Second and Third Lines of Uzbekistan-China Gas Pipeline (part of the Central Asia Gas-Pipeline) with total value over 5 bln USD. The legal work included reviewing project documents and advising on regulatory issues.
